Founded in 2016, The Bus Shelter Dorset is dedicated to helping individuals in need of shelter and support in Weymouth and surrounding areas. Our ethos is to provide unconditional and non-judgmental support to those experiencing homelessness, allowing them to rebuild their lives in a safe and caring environment.
The Bus Stop offers rough sleepers or those at risk of homelessness access to a supportive community environment with 24 hour high support tailored to meet their individual needs. The support we offer is unique and we have created a family environment where it is not judgmental and second chances are always offered.
The Bus Shelter Dorset began with a vision to transform a double-decker bus into a safe sleeping space for rough sleepers. Since then, we’ve expanded our services to include self-contained accommodation and a holistic move-on program, The Next Stop. Our mission is to not only offer shelter but to provide comprehensive support that addresses mental health, addiction, and independent living.
